There are two courses to become a pilot in India. First is the normal pilot course in which you pass the DGCA Exams and get your flying done and get the commercial pilot license and then have to appear for airline papers to get the job in an airline.
The 2nd pilot course is the cadet program in which the complete training for commercial pilot license is taken care by the airline and at the starting of the training the student get the LOI that after completing the training he will get a job with the respective airline.

What is DGCA?
DGCA is the abbreviation of Director General of Civil Aviation. It is the independent government regulatory authority for Indian Civil and General Aviation. It usually prepares norms and regulations for controlling Indian Aviation.
How to become a pilot in India?
The general trend in India after passing school is to either go for engineering, Medical or law degree.
Most students don’t know how to become a pilot in India. After passing class 10th you should take non medical and should be passing class 12th with Maths, Physics and English as a subject.
After that you can get Pilot Medical done that is DGCA Class 2 and Class 1 Medical. If you wear glasses hope is still not lost and you can become a pilot in India if your vision with glasses is 6/6.
You need to pass the DGCA CPL Papers and complete 200 hours of flying to become a pilot in India.
